Wherever SHOKI287 is, it's loud and uninhibited. When the Berlin native "Ekelqueen" isn't holding a mic and rapping about her sexual fantasies, modern female empowerment and intoxicated dances with the devil with an ignorant and blunt gesture, she steams off behind the CDJs. Within a few months, SHOKI287 has achieved legendary status in the flourishing Berlin club scene and the nationwide nightlife culture - her shows are considered an attraction, combining fast-paced beats with anarchic, sex-positive performativity. As in her rap videos, SHOKI287 wears provocative outfits and latex balaclavas when she appears as a DJ. Despite SHOKI's magnetizing star aura, her stage performances radiate bizarre playfulness and a straightforward underground attitude. Everything is allowed, there is only one rule: the music has to be blasting all the time and should regardless of the length of the set - emit and trigger energy. Rest periods? A waste of time!
SHOKI287 plays what she prefers to dance to herself: fast techno, trance episodes and occasionally driving remixes of her rap releases. Her groovy sets full of flexible switches shine with underground rave charm even on large stages and range in speed between 140 and 160 beats per minute. During her gigs, SHOKI287 appears highly experienced and as if she was born for the stage. Sets in the after-show program of her rap crew Tiefbasskommando were followed by main slots at the Pride Opening in Berlin - where SHOKI287 shared the stage with Fatboy Slim - and at the sold-out Straat264 in Nürnberg's Z-Bau. SHOKI287 took to the stage at Mitmischen Berlin, EhrenKlub Cologne and Unceen Hanover. She mobilized her fans to the Lehmann Club Stuttgart, the Suicide Club Berlin and the Feel Festival - and that's just the beginning.
